Day 13
~ by Richard H. Schneider
Long ago in an almost-fairytale land, the pine trees yearn to be the most perfect, in order to be chosen as the Queen’s Christmas tree for the whole kingdom to enjoy. One warm-hearted little pine sacrifices his perfect shape in order to help those in need, giving up his dream of being the celebrated tree. His love and charity teach the Queen what really is the most beautiful - “living for the sake of others.” In his drooping limbs and gapped, ragged branches, she sees the love of Christ, and chooses the little tree that is no longer “perfect” as her favorite. It’s a beautiful Christmas message!
Ice Cream Cone Christmas Trees
What we're doing today needs: sugar cones, icing, and a variety of candy.
You frost the cone green and then decorate - easy peasy, and lots of gooey, yummy fun : )
Check out the tutorial at The Hungry Housewife.
I was going to save this one for when my boys are on school break, but Little Man pleaded to do it today. They are going to have a blast! And you know what? It doesn't need to be perfect ; )
