These are genius!! The mouth zips open to a pocket that holds pj's right on the bed until they are needed again at the next bedtime. I'm hoping my boys will enjoy feeding their pj's to their Pajama Eaters so that I'm not stepping over random pj parts in the living room and kitchen anymore ; )
I missed the free pattern, but decided to buy it anyway and I'm so glad I did!! These were SO much fun to make and I can't wait to see their faces when they open them and know what they are! I decided to adjust the pattern to make my Pajama Eaters into a Monkey, Frog, and Ninja (to match with the loves of my little men). I can't share a tutorial, but I can show you lots of pics of my finished Pj critters. They look quite different from the original toothy monsters. I had a blast making these and am seriously considering becoming a seller : ) I seem to gravitate to things with pockets for my etsy shop and these would fit in beautifully!
Sock Monkey Inspired Pajama Eater
Of course, I had to add a curled monkey tail, too!
This has a piece of elastic inside it to make the end boingy.
Spotted Frog Pajama Eater
The tongue has a curved pipecleaner sewn in a channel inside, and can be bent and shaped!
