This week on Fun Jar Friday ~
Spring Scavenger Hunt
I love a good Scavenger Hunt. It gets you outside. You get exercise walking around. And it teaches kids to really look at their surroundings. It’s a treasure hunt. And it’s exciting. So I put together my own Spring Scavenger Hunt and packed it full of all sorts of things that come out in the spring. I designed it so that it can be played as a Bingo game for older kids or simply a regular scavenger hunt for the little guys where you see how many of the list you can spot. Your choice.
When going on a nature scavenger hunt, it’s important to map out your route. I chose a walk that included both neighborhood areas and a trail through the back areas of the neighborhood. We actually found most of the items in our own neighborhood though. So you don’t have to live out in the boondocks to complete this scavenger hunt. We had a lot of fun
and took pictures of the things we found along the way.
Here are some highlights of our hunt:
And because we couldn’t find a person running anywhere
and we really wanted to find one. We made our own
person running. Whatever works, right?
So here are some printables I made so you can have
your own scavenger hunt! Have fun with it and good luck!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us Tiffany!
