I've been so excited to show this to you, but we had to get through a few other October Theme Weeks first. I gave a sneak peek on Instagram, but now we're in Halloween Decor Week and
I can unveil the whole thing : )
I can unveil the whole thing : )
I loved my Fall Mantel with Yarn Pom Garlands so much that I decided to make new Pom Garlands for Halloween, adjusting the color scheme only slightly, and still including some of my fall colors.
The tutorial for making the poms and garlands (requested by a few readers) is here.
The rest of this post will mostly be a photobomb. But a good one!
And tons of links to tutorial posts and past projects if you want to see more.
First, here is my little Entry Table in our front foyer.
I hung a mini pom garland on the mirror,
as well as flying bat silhouettes taped to craft wire from last year.
along with my new Halloween Pom Garland.

First, here is my little Entry Table in our front foyer.
I hung a mini pom garland on the mirror,
as well as flying bat silhouettes taped to craft wire from last year.
On the table below, I have a framed printable and my Spooky Wreath,
both from last year, and a few of my Faux Metal Pumpkins that I just shared with you.
I wrapped a short piece of leftover Halloween garland around my jar candle. I later ended up moving my wreath back to the wall and putting my boys' Toilet Paper Roll Pumpkins from preschool.
My favorite is the mantel though!
Some elements from last year are on here, like my flying witch silhouettes,
that I put on my recent Book Page & Wire Pumpkins
and my trio of Ruffle & Ric Rac Candy Corn Trees
I added my recent Faux Metal Pumpkins, and a large, framed collage of photos from Halloween 2012, when we dressed up as a family of classic Halloween spooks. I made those collages in My Memories and found an unused frame that had been a freebie, with someone's magazine articles framed in it. I just opened it up and put my photo printouts in place of the articles. Voila!
I put a mini pom garland across the corner of the frame.
Across the front of the mantel, I hung last year's Coffee Filter Web Bunting, along with my new Halloween Pom Garland.
I'm loving the color and texture combinations of how this mantel came together.
It's probably my favorite mantel set-up that I've done so far!
Hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I enjoyed putting it together!

Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I do, too :D It's always so exciting when something turns out better than you imagined!
DeleteWow I love it! It looks so great. it's nice to see fun Halloween decor rather than just scary things.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenn! I agree! Scary is not for me. I don't know how long I can hold it off though, with three boys...my older two (8 and almost 7) keep asking me when we can get zombies and graves in the yard like some of the houses we pass in our neighborhood. Umm...hopefully never? Let's stick to pumpkins and cute ghosts please!
DeleteLittle Man is on my lap looking at this. He said your mantel looks "really, REALLY cute". He also asked if the crow was real. :) Great job sis!
