Today on pumpkin week, I bring you
Pumpkin Paper Art
This is very simple to make and didn't cost me a thing! Just the way I like it!
But to give credit where it's due, I originally saw this idea on My Blessed Life

You will need
frame
cardboard (big enough to fit in the frame)
material for the background
silhouette or cricut machine with a pumpkin die cut cartridge
fall colored paper scraps
fall colored paper scraps
scrapbook letters
glue gun or glue dots
stapler
stapler
To start off, remove the back and glass from the frame. You won't need the glass so discard it or use it for another craft! Now, cut the cardboard to fit the frame.
Iron your material. I love the burlap that My Blessed Life used,
but I didn't have any on hand so I used an off white muslin.
Wrap the material around the cardboard starting with the bottom an top. Staple it in place. Keep the staple close to the edge so it doesn't show when it's placed in the frame.
Now wrap the sides around and staple them in place.
Place your cardboard in the frame and put the frame back on.
Now you are ready to make your pumpkins!
Now, if you don't have a cricut or silhouette machine, you can simply do a google search for
"pumpkin silhouette" and trace and cut out whichever one you like. If you do have a cutting machine,
use whichever pumpkin shape you have on hand. I used the pumpkin from
Martha Stewart's Seasonal Cake Art Cricut Cartridge.
When making my pumpkins, because I used paper from my scrap pile, I placed several sheets on my cricut mat. That way I could just move the blade to the next sheet when it was done cutting. Saves time.
Here's a tip: use spray adhesive on your cricut mat to get it sticky
again without having to buy another!
Cut out all your pumpkins. The size depends on which pumpkin you chose.
I cut mine out at 1 1/2 inches.
Carefully lay out your pumpkins and letters on the picture the way you would like them.
Now you just have to glue them on! I wanted a bit of dimension to the pumpkins.
If I had glue dots, they would have been perfect, but I was out. So I just put a glob of hot glue
in the middle of each pumpkin to give them a bit of height.
In the end, I was super pleased at how it looked!
I hope you like it too!
